Following the latest Government advice, we now plan to open on the 5th July. With that in mind, we thought it was necessary to let you know what we have put in place to ensure your stay with us is both safe and pleasurable. This of course will be updated on a regular basis in line with new Government guidelines and regulations and ever-changing information that becomes available to us.
Hand sanitiser gels are available in public areas for use when entering the Hotel and Dining area in particular.
You will be asked to settle your account 24 hours prior to your arrival by card over the telephone. We have limited the time for check in strictly between 2 pm and 4 pm. On arrival there will be a sealed bag with your keys and payment receipt and you will be greeted with social distancing in mind and directed to your room. If assistance with luggage is required, you will need to bring it into the Hotel from your car and we will bring it for you and leave it outside your room. This service can also be offered on the reverse on check out. On check out, which is up to 10am, you will be required to replace the keys into the bag and return to us. The keys will then be sanitised and prepared for next use.
The Dining room has been socially distanced and some tables have been removed. You will have your own table throughout your stay. We only plan initially to have 50% occupancy in order to gauge social distancing and guarantee high standards of service and cleanliness. We hope that none of our measures will impact negatively on your stay with us.
The Bar will only be open and available during Dinner for table service only. A cashless system will be in operation with the account being settled by card prior to departure. The public toilet in the Bar area will not be in use and we will ask you to use your own toilet in your bedroom at all times.
Breakfast and Dinner for those on Half Board or subject to availability, will all be table served by staff wearing a mask and gloves as appropriate. We have taken away our Breakfast Buffet but all items will still be available and can be pre-ordered on the same card you use to pre-order your cooked breakfast. We will ask where possible for drinks for Dinner to be pre-ordered with your meal selection at Breakfast time.
We will be wearing masks and gloves publicly and when cleaning the bedrooms.
We will maintain our usual high standards of housekeeping as well as extra cleaning to all high traffic contact areas regularly throughout the day.
The Guest Lounge will be open with social distancing in place. We have removed the cushions and our Guest Book from the Lounge. Should you wish to make comments please let us know or write us a review on Trip Advisor. We would ask you please to respect other guests’ space in these areas.
The Garden area will also be open, with the patio furniture moved to allow for social distancing and will be disinfected regularly. Cushions will not be available. If you wish to smoke, please use the garden furniture furthest away from the building.
Information leaflets, maps and business cards have been removed from the rooms. Please ask should you need something as we do still have them available.
Dogs are still welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times, especially on the staircase. They must be able to be left in the bedroom whilst you take your meals and are only permitted in the Garden.
You will find some changes in the bedrooms. We have removed some items eg, cushions and clocks and the extra blanket has been security taped in a zipped bag so we know if it has been used and therefore must be cleaned. The Guest Information Book is available on request from us. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide any iron and ironing boards or laundry facilities.
You will find that your TV remote control is now wrapped in cling film. You can remove the cling film if you wish. This will be sanitised/changed on departure, as will the hair dryer provided. The cling film is only there to show you it has been sanitised, awaiting your use.
All bedrooms will still receive daily housekeeping. We will not be touching or moving any of your clothing or personal possessions so we will service what we can. Please try to use the cupboards and wardrobes as much as possible to assist with housekeeping. A copy of our cleaning methods for both a ‘stay on’ or a ‘departure’ is available on request. We will be leaving at least 24 hours between guests for the room to air and operating a ‘No Entry’ System once the room is complete. Please make sure on day of departure you are out of your room by 10am at the latest to help us facilitate this.
Finally, if you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and are due to stay with us we would ask you, please do not travel.
Likewise, should anyone in your party think they have symptoms whilst staying with us we would advise you to go home and self-isolate immediately.
Holiday Amendments/ Changes to our Terms & Conditions:
Please note that once we are allowed to open our normal Terms & Conditions will apply. However, if you need to amend your booking due to Covid 19 or under the direction of your Doctor you will have the flexibility to do so without financial loss. We are allowing guests to defer bookings to later in the season or into 2021 if necessary but subject to any changes in Tariff and availability.
